September Report

The last few weeks have been very busy at both centres.  We finished our summer with a great Fun Day for the children.  This week children and some  staff have been moving from one centre to the other as we go back to licensing the centres as school age and infant/preschool. School started up, the guaranteed spots were reinstated and the infant room staff are preparing for their  safe return. We are still following the protocol for COVID so we are missing the connection with the families. Curbside pick up it is!!

We received great news this week that the demolition begins on our new centre followed by the rebuild. We will be opening Splash Early Learning Centre in Osborne Village soon and welcoming 28 infants and 64 preschool children. There will be a blessing and pipe ceremony at the site this month and we will be arranging buses to take everyone there for that event.

We will be having a raffle soon to help with costs down. We hope you can sell tickets to our BBQ and meat raffle. We have a new Broil King BBQ and quality meat package to raffle off,  As many centres are charging for snacks and field trips etc. now we are not so it is to your advantage to sell those tickets!!

We are launching a new and exciting website soon!! We are so excited about that!

Our AGM this year will most likely be by Zoom This is Splash’s 35th year and we were hoping to have a big celebration. We will try again when everything is safe. We need to meet a quorum so we hope that you will join us from the comfort of your home to learn about our year and help us celebrate our successes.

Enjoy the last days of summer and please stay safe.
